An ebullient polymath?

That's me!

I’m a builder, who has created digital, experiential, and change management solutions across swaths of industries and numerous Fortune 500 companies. I play in that fuzzy space between what we know and what we need to know — discovering what people want, but don’t yet have.

WHAT THEY SAY

Word on the street

There are no words to describe Daniel's talent, although "unicorn" is the closest one I've got.

Jess Barnes
Director, Service Design
Truist

Daniel demonstrated best-in-class content writing, journey mapping, experience design, prototyping, filmmaking, even mocked up a clickable prototype. I repeat: unicorn.

His technical role was a strategy consultant, with zero reach into some of the areas I just mentioned he demonstrated mastery over.

Jess Barnes
Director, Service Design
Truist

I don’t know that I can come up with the words that adequately describe the amazing contribution this guy makes to EVERYTHING he touches.

I guess I could say that Daniel is “the most,” everything: the most brilliant, most creative, most engaging, most intellectual…get the picture?

Amy O'Donnell
Distinguished University Lecturer
University of Toledo

Daniel is brilliant, talented, smart, entrepreneurial, inquisitive, empathetic, strategic, and down right impressive. He is kind, compassionate, considerate, and empathetic. He is a thought partner, inventor, and magician.

Jess Barnes
Director, Service Design
Truist

Daniel's capabilities exceed expectations while his flexibility and reliability make him someone to be counted on. His commitment to — along with — passion for lifelong learning are as lasting as they are evident. Daniel is my instructional design idol. I have never seen someone be able to grasp concepts, translate his voice into “our” voice, and simply create content that shines. I knew if Daniel was on it, that everything would be perfect.

Tom Melanson
Senior Consultant
Gallup

Daniel's work often seems to be a thing of magic, but there's a whole lot of talent, skill and relentless dedication underlying that ease and positivity.

Claire Kenkel
Senior Consultant
Root (a part of Accenture)

Root (a part of Accenture)

Daniel is a strategic thinker at heart, always looking for dots to connect in a way to helps our business scale design success. Rather than focus on myopic features, Daniel will take on meaty program-wide challenges to integrate his thinking and share a POV.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What type of projects do you take on?

I usually work on B2C software, that's my forte--where I shine best. But I also have about 15 B2B software products in my portfolio. I do end-to-end product design + branding.

What is your hourly rate?

I only charge hourly for my ongoing projects that need work on the regular. One-time projects are charged upfront to keep it transparent and clean! My hourly rate is $100.

What time-zone do you work in?

I work Pacific Standard Time, but I'm always ready to help out in emergencies, no matter the hour.

What is the typical timeline for a project?

Depends on the scope of the project, really. Some projects take less than a week. Some take months. The best way to find out is to get on a quick call with me, and discuss it. No strings attached!

How do you charge for projects ?

I quote a price upfront--so that you know exactly what you're paying and for what, and there are no surprises later. The exact cost of your project depends on the scope and requirements!

What does your design process look like?

I take a problem-forward approach. Whether we're iterating on an existing product or building a new one from scratch, how to solve the user's problem in the simplest way possible is my first concern.

Send me an email to understand my process in depth!

What metrics do you use to measure success?

The best metrics are customer adoption, happiness, task success, and engagement. There are a number of frameworks such as the System Usability Scale that help us understand product performance and I'm happy to help with that.

What if I need help after the project is complete?

I always make sure to help out my clients one month after the project ends, for free. For any help post that, we can work out an ongoing arrangement!
